About the event
As an holistic therapist diagnosed as an adult with neurodiversity, I have struggled my whole life with hiding who I was in order to feel like I fit in. I have supported my children through diagnosis and supports and worked with a range of children to help them develop accessible relaxation and mindfulness techniques.
I want to change the way neurodiversity is viewed. Both by people who experience it, and people who don't.
This program is focussed on living a whole, healthy, well life. Recognising how your neurodivergence makes you unique. Understanding what 'the spectrum' is, and what it means to be 'on it'.
Over 10 weeks we will look at a wide range of aspects of neurodivergence. Neurodivergent vs neurotypical, physical behaviours such as stimming and tics, sensory issues, managing in social, education and work settings, your super powers.
This program is suitable for people with a formal diagnosis, waiting for a diagnosis or who believe that they may be neurodivergent. It is also suitable for the family, friends, carers and colleagues of people with a neurodivergent brain, anyone who wants to have a better understanding.
The beta test of this program will commence online in early October 2021. This initial program will be run on a Tuesday evening from 7pm (AEDT).
Participants will be offered a substantially discounted price in return for their commitment to completing this initial program and providing feedback.
